We head to Ascot and Wetherby for a bumper Saturday of racing, bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby and the ultra competitive Sodexo Live! Gold Cup which boasts a field of 13 including the consistent The Changing Man who currently heads the market at 7/2 for Joe Tizzard and Brendan Powell.

Day 2 of the opening meet at Cheltenham, there wouldn't be a stand out race on Saturday but there are big fields which always breeds good, competitive racing. The Pertemps hurdle qualifier is probably the best race with 18 runners with Long Draw currently being the favourite for Olly Murphy and the champ Sean Bowen.

After a long summer and a warm start to autumn the rain has hit and that means bigger field sizes as the ground has finally eased. Good ground currently for the Cheltenham Season Opener but a chance it could ease further with a wet forecast.

After the opening 3 days of the season at the Welsh Racing Festival hosted at Chepstow we now have the Kempton jumps opener. The feature race of the day is the Copybet listed hurdle at 3:50, 4 runners head to post and the high class Burdett Road is currently 4/6 favourite for James Owen and Sam Twiston-Davies.

Day 3 of the Dragonbet Welsh Racing Festival boasts a listed chase over 2 miles 3 1/2 furlongs with Blueking d'Oroux the current favourite at 2/5. The Welsh Champion Hurdle is the big race on the final day, now being a handicap should provide a better race with more runners. Celtic Dino for trainer Sam Thomas is the current favourite at 5/2 as 11 runners go to post.
